Looking Ahead.
Where do we go from here?
Dear friends,
We hope our Advent meditations have inspired you and enriched your walk with God. As the new year approaches, we want to share what’s ahead for us at Our Simple Path. Mostly, we'll focus on various topics, with a primary emphasis on creation care. This will include a variety of ideas, thoughts, and subjects related to self-care, respect for the gift of creation, and other subjects we believe bring us closer to God's heart and align with what He desires for us.
We will continue to rely on the Holy Scriptures as our guide while sharing our own perspectives on current events that require our attention and practical ways to make a positive impact. Some posts will serve as reflections for meditation, while others will be in-depth explorations of topics we care about, including reviews of what we’re reading and external links that provide additional insights.
With everything we write, our goal is to inspire and spark your own thinking. We hope Our Simple Path will nurture your growth in Christ, deepen your relationships with others, and strengthen your connection to this beautiful planet we call home!
Twelve Days of Christmas
Today marks the sixth day of what is traditionally called The Twelve Days of Christmas, which runs from Christmas Day to January 5th. In most Christian traditions, especially in the West, it is no longer widely celebrated. Instead, it feels like a liminal space where we’re unsure what to do with these days other than recover from the Christmas holidays before welcoming the new year!
(Learn more about it by scrolling down the article to see today’s cost of the twelve days.)
Visitation
May you be filled with joy this season! We are passing on a poem written by our friend, Jeff Trautman.
Look for our next post in the New Year!
